The Hungry Guest Artisan Bakery prepares on a daily basis over 30 varieties of their own signature artisan breads, delicious pastries and cakes as well as the local favourite chocolate brownie. In addition to their own shop & café, the bakery supplies over 70 external outlets including shops, restaurants, hotels & supermarkets in Sussex, Surrey, Hampshire & Kent.

The Hungry Guest’s passion for food is evident from the moment you step inside the food shop. With its clean cut layout and diverse range of products available, the store successfully entices, excites and inspires each visitor that enters.

At the back of the shop, they have the only maturing cheese room in Sussex, which offers a wide selection of cheeses from Neal’s Yard Dairy, Mons and Fromagerie.

Their store essentials are no different, supplying wholesome fruit, vegetables, milk, eggs and juice, which are sourced locally where possible. The bakery counter is, of course, a very popular section of the shop where customers can buy their extensive range of baked goods.

Customers are positively encouraged to talk to the staff, reaping knowledge from their expertise. From the butchers and charcuterie experts to the cheesemonger and bakers, their knowledge and passion can make everyday food shopping a pleasure.

To complement the weekly shop, The Hungry Guest also produce homemade ready meals, cooked in their kitchen in small batches. The menu follows the seasons and the ingredients are sourced from local producers and foragers.

The joy and quality of the ingredients is evident not only in the standard of The Hungry Guest’s goods and the taste of their meals, salads and sandwiches but the wholesome goodness they provide.

You will also find us regularly selling our breads & patisserie goodies at farmers markets, country fairs and events in the south including at the wonderful Weald & Downland Open Air Museum at nearby Singleton.
